Bethany Malloy - Owner/Stylist

I had the dream of joining this industry as a child and made the decision to do so when I was 16 years old. I was hired at one of the top salons in Delaware to shampoo hair and sweep the floors. It was my dream come true to watch the hairstylists and makeup artists at work. I soon graduated high school and started my apprenticeship to become a cosmetologist..."

Tateum Hitchcock - Salon Manager, Stylist / Makeup Artist

Our salon manager, Tateum has been in the industry of cosmetology for over ten years. She began her career in hair and makeup at Shilling Douglas School of Cosmetology. From there, she graduated from Wesley College with a Business Management degree. She is currently working on a completion bachelor degree at Wilmington University in Organizational Management and Development. Tateum joined the Gloss team soon after we opened our doors in 2009.

Tateum is certified in Pure Extensions and Keratin Treatment System. Her formal education in cosmetology includes Bumble and Bumble Business Emersion 1, Bumble formal and informal styling, Bumble and Bumble scissor cutting, Redken color and haircutting, Wahl clipper cutting for men, Matrix haircutting, bare Escentuals makeup and skin care, Graham Webb cutting, Paul Mitchell cutting.

Tateum's print work includes UDress magazine cover shoots for hair styling, Passion Hairstyling Books, and work with known photographers such as Cindy Guessford and multiple photographers from the nationally known Photog Shootouts.

Specialties include men's and women's haircutting, color, highlights, formal up styling, and makeup for any special occasion.

Nickie Brousseau - Stylist

Our certified Bumble and Bumble Network Educator, Nickie, is also one of our very talented hairstylists and makeup artists. Nickie graduated from Shilling Douglas School of Hair Design in 2001. Soon after her base education, she studied with Bumble and Bumble University working on her scissor and razor cutting techniques. She is currently in New York on an almost monthly basis to continue her education with BBU in being an educator for the rest of the Gloss staff.

Aside from working closely with BBU, Nichole also has had formal training in Bare Minerals makeup and skin care, Youngblood makeup, Redken color, Wella Colors of the World. She is also certified in Keratin Treatment Systems and Pure Extensions.

Nickie specializes in wedding hair and makeup, facial waxing razor cutting, scissor cutting for men and women, Pure Extensions, airbrush makeup, ombre and balayage hair coloring, and “Rockabilly” styling.

Nichole's print work includes UDress, Spark, Delaware Today, News Journal, Photog Shootout, and Boudoir shoots.

Lauren Clift - Stylist

Lauren is one of the very first stylists at Gloss Salon, and she has helped build our foundation of exceptional hair and makeup. Lauren has been in the hair industry for over twelve years, receiving education in multiple states before she completed her cosmetology certification at Shilling Douglas School of Hair Design.

Lauren's talent includes formal up styling and makeup, wedding day hair and makeup, men's and women's cutting, coloring, foiling, extensions, and any facial waxing. Lauren has also attended classes with Bumble and Bumble styling, Redken coloring techniques, and Bare Minerals skincare and makeup.

Print work Lauren has done hair and/or makeup in includes UDress Magazine, Spark Magazine, Clothes in the Past lane advertising. Lauren has also worked with talented photographers with Photog Shootout, including Cindy Guessford and Krista Valla.

Jessica Till - Stylist

"I love that I work at a place that brings me joy, fun and creativity!

I have been a stylist for 8 years. My expertise is in coloring and cutting, as well as up styles for all occasions. The base of my career started as Schilling and Douglas and advanced through training at the Graham Webb Academy, Goldwell Academy, and Matrix of Las Vegas. I have had the exciting opportunities to style hair for fashion and print such as Passion's Style Book, University of Delaware's Fashion Shows, Spark Magazine, and the increasingly elite Photog Shootouts.

When I am not with my friends and family, I spend most of my time at Gloss Salon, a place I can be myself and do what I love!

I welcome clients to experience a relaxed and professional atmosphere. You deserve it!"

Shannon Melvin - Stylist/Makeup Artist

Shannon has worked in the hair industry for seven years as a makeup artist and hairstylist. The beginning of her career started at Shilling Douglas School of Hair Design, obtaining her certification in cosmetology. From there, Shannon has attended classes to continue her education with Bumble and Bumble University for razor and scissor cutting, Bare Minerals skin care and makeup and Redken color and cutting.

Shannon is certified in Pure Extensions, Individual Lash Extensions, and Keratin Treatment Systems.

Shannon has also done fashion show work for UDress Magazine, doing hair and makeup. She also has had print work in Passions Inspire hair books, UDress Magazine.

Shannon's talents include special occasion makeup, wedding makeup and hair, razor cutting, women and men's cutting, color, balayage, foiling, and facial waxing.

Sarah Petrucci - Stylist

Sarah joined the Gloss team in 2009. She has been in the industry of cosmetology for five years, graduating from the Paul Mitchell Partner School. In addition to a formal education in hair, Sarah also obtained her degree in Business from Goldey Beacom College. Other training consists of Redken color classes, Bumble and Bumble razor cutting, long layer and bob cutting, Wella Colors of the World, Bare Minerals skin care and makeup and Paul Mitchell cutting systems.

Sarah enjoys foiling/highlighting, color, cutting and formal styling.

Emma Coates - Stylist and Makeup Artist

Emma is one of our gifted makeup artists and hairstylists. Emma has been to multiple classes such as Blow-dry Boot Camp, Ultimate Blonding, bare Escentuals makeup and skin care, Youngblood makeup, and Bumble product and styling classes. Emma has also attended Redken Fifth Avenue in New York City for color and design classes. Emma has also teamed forces with UDress magazine, UDress runway show doing hair and makeup, and Kids Runway for Cancer Research. Along with her talents in makeup, Emma also specializes in facial waxing, men's women's and kid's cuts of all hair textures. She is also certified in Keratin treatments and hair softening treatments.

Lindsey Culver - Assistant

Lindsey was our first assistant to join the Gloss team. She is currently in Paul Mitchell Partner School for Cosmetology, gearing up to graduate by early 2012. Lindsey has also had the opportunity to take advantage of in salon classes like bare Escentuals, Pure Extensions, and has done hands on training with Bumble and Bumble education in flat brush/round brush blow-drying techniques. Gloss is anticipating Lindsey's already prominent raw talent in coloring and cutting techniques to blossom in our salon.

Caitlyn Nurven - Junior Stylist

Caitlyn is our junior stylist at Gloss Salon. She Graduated from Paul Mitchell Partner School in Cosmetology in 2010, and has been working at Gloss as a full time assistant. She has also attended classes in Pure Extensions, Sam Villa Redken Cutting, Bare Minerals makeup and skin care, and Redken coloring. Caitlyn is certified in Pure Extensions and Keratin Systems.
